The Museum of Dionysios Solomos & Andreas Kalvos

Located in St. Marco square (adjacent to Dionysios Solomos square) is the museum of two of the most well known Greek poets including Dionysios Solomos (Greece's national poet) and Andreas Kalvos. The museum was founded at the end of 50's and hosts the poets' mausoleum. Here, you can also admire a number of sculptures, musical instruments, pottery and paintings from the 18th and 19th century, portraits of prominent Zakynthians as well as a small collection of local clothing and arms. The museum is open daily from 9.00 to 14.00
