Zakynthos 2010 Music Festivals!

Every summer Zakynthos hosts two up-and-coming music festivals featuring local artists and international guests.

Zante Jazz

Zante Jazz was established in 2009. This year the festival brings you three performances between July and August (16/07/10, 23/07/10 and 02/08/10) by Cubana Bop, Paraplous and Sketches of Miles Project respectively. The festival is held at the Open Municipality Theatre in the heart of Zakynthos Town. For more information visit the official page of Zante Jazz.

Ionio Festival of Classical Music Paolo Carrer

The Ionio Festival of Classical Music Paolo Carrer returns to the Open Theatre of Dermatousa in Zakynthos this summer for the third consecutive year. The festival runs over six days between July and August (30/07, 03/08, 06/08, 10/08,13/08 and 20/08) featuring Tadeusz Domanowski, Spyros Koutsouvelis, Vaggelis Boudounis, Aria Ensemble, Cirquito and Strangers in Paradise. According to Vassilis Stamatis (Artistic Director) this year’s programme covers a range of classical music genres including a tribute to Polish composer Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin, a 20th century Greek Operetta and a contemporary multimedia performance.
