At the top of Porto Vromi, in Maries, you'll find Aeras restaurant overlooking the bay. This is the ideal place to eat after a refreshing swim. Aeras offers Zakynthian cuisine at its best as well as a good variety of local wines. We highly recommend trying the Aeras salad as well as some local hard cheeses on offer!
Places to eat in Zante

Located 16km from the town at the mountainous village of Kiliomeno, this exquisite family-run traditional taverna features original 18th century stone architecture, local produce and live Greek music for every occasion. Top specialities include grills, pork and rabbit casseroles as well as locally produced organic cheese, wine and pies. The taverna is open everyday in the summer and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the winter period.

This is one locals' favourite restaurants. Located near the port Anteti, is a family-run business offering a very small amount of traditional lunch dishes.
Located at the heart of Zante town, Aresti is a traditional manson which was renovated back in 1979. You can fnd it by the Red Rock cafe (Kokkinos Vrachos) at Krioneri Lighthouse. Here, you can enjoy a warm atmoshpere surrounded by traditional Zakynthian furniture and family paintings. Try some local dishes such as casserole beef, rooster ragu, rabbit in lemon sauce, everything prepared with local sourced ingredients.
